I am a British crime fiction author, weaving tales set against the breathtaking backdrop of North Yorkshire.
Picture the historic and charming fishing port of Whitby, with its cobbled streets and haunting abbey ruins, as the stage for my stories.
In my books, you'll meet DCI Frank Finnegan, an old-school copper with a dry sense of northern humour, and a gruff exterior. Alongside him is DI Prisha Kumar, an intuitive and feisty woman sharper than a Gillette razor blade. Then there's DS Zac Stoker, a lovable Scottish rogue who occasionally bends the rules, and Superintendent Anne Banks, North Yorkshire’s very own Miss Havisham. And of course the irrepressible, and bombastic Doctor Bennet Whipple, the local pathologist who underwent a triple humour bypass on the NHS.
These characters, along with a host of husbands, wives, partners, villains, crooks, children, and even a few pets, bring the stories to life.
I craft plots that are intriguing and beguiling, constantly casting doubt in the reader’s mind about who’s done it and where the story will go next. Expect a mix of wit, tragedy, laughter, and tears, all woven into gripping storylines that reflect the nuances of today’s society.
So, why not jump onboard and ride shotgun as I take you on a journey of murder, mystery, thrills, and spills, from the majestic east coast to the wild expanse of the Yorkshire Moors and Dales?
I promise you won't be disappointed.
